Collecting local history is a wonderful thing! Especially when it looks as timeless as this Rookwood vase. The small Oxblood vase is a Rare Rookwood #1795 from 1922. It has five panels joined at the base with a pentagon. Each panel features a bird and tree coated with a deep wine-red crackle glaze. Rookwood Pottery was founded in 1880 in Cincinnati, Ohio and this vase was made in 1922. Not only is this a functional work of art, but it is a unique piece of historic craftsmanship!

The verso is marked with the company logo that includes the letters RP, a full set of flames with Roman numerals “XXII” along with the mold number 1795.
Condition: Excellent
No visible damage. Less than expected wear for age and function.
